Char Bar to bring their 'Smoked Meats & Amusements' to Parkville, Mo.

Restaurateurs Culinary Virtue has partnered with our team to bring their renowned KC BBQ restaurant, Char Bar, to Parkville Missouri. This will be their second location and is scheduled to open in early Fall. Char Bar is part of the $300 million mixed-use Creekside Development, located near Interstate 435 and Missouri Highway 45 in Parkville.

In addition to their delicious & mouthwatering Southern-style BBQ, this 6,000 sq/ft restaurant will feature a pickleball component, offering four interior courts and two exterior courts. Similar to their Westport location, CB Parkville will have a large green space for yard games and, of course, beer drinking! When the sun goes down, guests can cozy up by the 8' firepit or belly up to the 36' bar.

The desig nincorporates elements from nostalgic 1950s gas station BBQ joints, with neon lights lining the perimeter walls and beadboard paneling on the walls and bar soffit. Retro tile is used throughout the space to provide a fun pop of color and texture.

Vintage carnival games from the 1950s, sourced by one of the partners who has an affinity (and great eye) for antique treasures, will be scattered throughtout the space, complementing Char Bar's slogan 'Smoked Meats & Amusements'.

Elements of a 1950s industiral factory also serve as inspiration for both the exterior & interior spaces. Glass block windows on the east, south and west sides of the dining room will allow natural light to flood the interior. The same glass block will be used at the face of the bar, topped with a terrazzo bar top, providing a tactile nod to the industial 1950s.

Let's not forget about one of the biggest draws of Char Bar's new location (aside from the killer BBQ, of course), which is the pickleball courts. With four interior courts and two exterior courts, this will be a wonderful place to brush up, or learn how to play, this very popular sport.
